Trump Says Iran Needs Decade to Rebuild, Refuses to End War

US President Donald Trump has stated that the ongoing military campaign against Iran has caused massive devastation, asserting that the war is far from over despite the significant damage already inflicted on the country.

According to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera, a major regional network known for an editorial stance highly critical of US and Israeli military actions, Trump highlighted the long-term impact of the recent strikes. In a statement reported by the network, Trump declared: "We have inflicted damage on the Iranians and they need 10 years to rebuild if we stopped now, but I am not about to end the war." This report was corroborated by the Akhbar Al Ghad channel.

Alaraby TV, another prominent Qatar-based broadcaster that generally aligns with Arab nationalist perspectives, also quoted the US President, emphasizing his refusal to halt the offensive. According to their urgent dispatch, Trump stated: "We have inflicted massive damage on the Iranians, but I will not declare victory yet."

Trump's declarations follow the unprecedented outbreak of a massive regional war earlier this month. The conflict, initiated by the US and Israeli "Operation Epic Wrath," involved strikes on thousands of Iranian military and civilian targets and resulted in the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The offensive triggered massive retaliatory missile and drone strikes by Iran and its "Axis of Resistance" proxies against Israeli cities, US military bases, and critical Gulf infrastructure.
