Significant development in the south: Reports of Russian forces evacuating from the Kinburn Spit
Ukrainian military and media sources report that the Russian army has begun the process of evacuating the Kinburn Spit peninsula. According to Times of Ukraine, the main reason for the move is the collapse of the logistics system, as Russian soldiers have been left without food, water, or fuel.
The commander of the Operational Tactical Group (OTU) "Odessa", Denis Nosikov, was quoted in several media outlets, including 24 Канал, saying that Ukraine's defense forces have managed to "almost completely cut off the occupiers' logistics." According to his statements in a report by Львівич, without a regular supply of ammunition and basic equipment, the occupation forces are unable to continue effective fighting, which led to the decision to evacuate.
The Kinburn Spit is considered a sensitive strategic point that was used by Russia as a base for shelling the city of Ochakiv and for controlling the mouth of the Dnieper-Bug rivers. Independent sources identified with military coverage, such as Дозвольте доповісти, note that if the reports are verified, it would be a significant achievement that could open access for Ukraine to the ports of Mykolaiv and Kherson and allow for increasing pressure on the left bank of the Dnieper.
At the same time, the Оперативний ЗСУ channel asked residents of the Mykolaiv and Odessa regions to maintain operational silence and avoid posting photos of troop movements. Ukrainian officials emphasize that any exposure of the movement of vehicles or fighters could endanger the operational activities currently taking place in the region.
