The Ukrainian fuel market is facing a downward trend in prices, with experts predicting a reduction of up to 7 hryvnias per liter. According to fuel expert Dmytro Lyushkin, as reported by Times of Ukraine, this is a gradual process of falling diesel and gasoline prices across the country.
In a report by Novyny.LIVE, Lyushkin noted that while consumers may see a reduction of about 7 hryvnias at chains like OKKO and WOG, the decrease will be about 5 hryvnias per liter at other chains like "Ukrnafta." However, the expert warns that one should not expect a return to the prices seen at the beginning of the year, due to global factors, including the situation in the Middle East and stable global demand.
At the same time, UA Stream notes that as of June 22, average fuel prices stand at over 75 hryvnias per liter for 95 gasoline and 80 hryvnias for diesel. Leading chains such as OKKO, WOG, Socar, and UPG have already begun making adjustments and have updated pricing downward in recent days.
In addition to the economic aspect, starting July 1, 2026, Ukrainian drivers can expect regulatory changes at gas stations. According to "Vsevidyashcheye OKO" reports, the Ukrainian government is implementing new regulations in accordance with European Union standards. The changes include a mandatory requirement for at least 7% bio-ethanol in the fuel mix, and a change in product labeling at stations to E5, E10, and B7 models, depending on the exact percentage of ethanol.
