During the night and morning of June 15, 2026, alarms for the infiltration of hostile aircraft were activated in the Dnipro, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. Systems returned to normal after rounds of alerts that lasted for several hours.
A Large-Scale Round of Air Raid Alerts Across Ukraine
During the night and morning of June 15, 2026, the activation of red alert sirens was reported in several key regions of Ukraine. According to reports from НУ І ДНІПРО! 🇺🇦 and Дніпро Оперативний 🇺🇦| Війна, residents of the Dnipro region were instructed to take shelter due to a "повітряна тривога" (air raid alert), with an update regarding the cancellation of the alert only being received in the early morning hours.
Simultaneously, other regions experienced similar tensions. Реальный Днепр ⚡️Кривой Рог | Дніпро Світло reported that alarms were activated concurrently in the Dnipro, Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Kryvyi Rih regions. At the same time, in the north and center of the country, the channels Женьок Вещає… and єРадар reported on the conclusion of alerts in the cities of Sumy, Poltava, and Kyiv, with the end of the air emergency state officially announced in the capital at 05:22.
At the Kyiv regional level, the regional administration (Київська обласна військова адміністрація) provided ongoing and tiered updates regarding various areas. According to the reports, the process of lifting the alerts was carried out gradually, starting from the Vyshhorod and Obukhiv districts to Bila Tserkva, while emphasizing in their summaries which areas remained under threat at any given moment during the night.
In the Kharkiv sector, Суспільне Харків reported a gradual end to the alerts, although they noted in the report that the alarm lasted longer in the center of Kharkiv city compared to the surrounding region. An update regarding the cancellation of an alert was also recorded in the Kherson region, indicating broad activity of air defense systems throughout the night.
