Drone attack in northern Ukraine: Operational update

This morning, June 3, 2026, security officials in Ukraine reported intense hostile activity by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones) in the north of the country. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated that a group of drones was identified in the Chernihiv region moving in the direction of Slavutych.

Simultaneously, the Telegram channel Kyiv Golovne, which monitors events in the capital region, reported a "jet drone radar" that penetrated the airspace and was heading toward Chernihiv. This channel also noted that earlier this morning, a drone was identified flying "in the direction of the approach from the Chernihiv region."

Additional monitoring systems, including eRadarrua, confirmed the tense situation. According to the channel, two more drones were identified in the Chernihiv region that passed "by Slavutych on a course toward central airspace." Additionally, another aircraft was reported to have been spotted "in the north of the Chernihiv region, along the border toward Slavutych."

The sources, which are associated with official positions and Ukrainian air defense observations, emphasize the high level of vigilance required from residents due to the penetration of the aircraft into the country's territory. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to infrastructure as a result of these penetrations.
