This morning, June 2, 2026, the city of Kyiv was struck in a combined attack that reportedly included the use of "Zircon"-type missiles. The channel Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна reports direct hits in the city center area, which caused columns of black smoke to rise above the skyline. The channel, which is identified with pro-Ukrainian news coverage that highlights the damage caused to the civilian population, documented fires that broke out in residential buildings that were hit.

According to the reports, the attack included a specific hit on the "Medovy" (ЖК Медовий) residential complex. The Київ ІНФО channel described the event as a "terrorist attack" and presented documentation of the burning buildings.
