Wave of attacks on the Ukrainian capital: Extensive damage to medical facilities and residential buildings

The city of Kyiv woke up this morning, June 2, 2026, to an intense wave of attacks that hit several locations throughout the city. According to reports from KMVA and official sources, the incidents spread across the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, Podilskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a direct hit on a local clinic was reported. Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated on his official channel that as a result of the hit and the fire that broke out, destruction was recorded on the second and third floors of the building. Additional reports in Truha⚡️Kyiv confirmed that the facade and windows of the medical facility were also damaged. In the same area, damage was also reported to an office center building and an impact in a parking lot area.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, rescue forces dealt with a fire that broke out on the roof of a 9-story residential building. Various reports indicate that the fire started as a result of falling missile debris. Similar incidents of fires in non-residential buildings were recorded in the Darnytskyi and Podilskyi districts as well.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, damage was caused to the external cladding and windows of a non-residential building due to falling debris. Local authorities, including Kyiv INFO, continue to update on the situation on the ground, emphasizing that in most locations, the damage was caused as a result of falling interception debris or direct hits from munition parts.
