Large-scale Russian drone attack on various districts across Ukraine
Tonight (May 31, 2026), the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a large-scale air attack combining dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) striking many locations simultaneously. According to reports, the vehicles are being launched from the direction of the Bryansk region in Russia and from the northern areas, moving toward strategic targets in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr regions.
The Ukrainian Air Force provided updates on the movement of UAVs toward the capital Kyiv as well as toward the city of Kharkiv and its districts. Simultaneously, reporting sources on the "eRadar" channel noted that two jet-powered UAVs were identified penetrating the Chernihiv region, and hostile air activity was also reported in the center of the city of Dnipro, near Yavornytsky Street.
Reports from both channels highlight the constant movement of the vehicles toward additional locations, including Konotop, Shostka, Okhtyrka, Zaporizhzhia, and Slavutych. The Ukrainian Air Force emphasized that forces are on high alert due to the multiplicity of flight paths of the vehicles threatening the country's interior.
The reports come from official and semi-official sources identified with the Ukrainian air defense system, and their purpose is to provide immediate warning to residents in the attacked areas. So far, no final interception results have been reported, but the event is defined as a multi-sector attack continuing under the heavy fog of war.
