Kyiv assesses damage from the attack: building restoration and aid to war victims

Following the massive attack that struck Kyiv on May 24, city authorities are working to restore the damaged infrastructure. According to a report by the Реальний Київ | Украина channel, a student dormitory in the Darnytskyi district was severely damaged when a missile penetrated it, leading to the complete destruction of 74 apartments. However, the channel notes that "by a miracle, everyone in the dormitory survived." Local authorities have begun distributing initial financial grants of 40,000 hryvnias to the victims and are arranging alternative housing solutions.

At the same time, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris removal operations have concluded at the "Kvadrat" shopping center. As reported by Novini.LIVE, during the rescue operations, emergency service teams dismantled dangerous structures covering an area of over 2,900 square meters. The channel notes that three people were killed and over 90 were injured in this attack.

The situation on the ground remains complex for local business owners. The local market in Lukianivka was burned to the ground, and merchants are forced to continue their work near the entrances to metro stations. On the other hand, some businesses, such as the local McDonald's branch, have already managed to repair the damage and return to full operation.
