The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a combined attack overnight on 23 military and strategic targets in Russia and Crimea, including the destruction of a missile system and reconnaissance aircraft in Taganrog.

On the night between May 29 and May 30, 2026, Ukrainian forces carried out a large-scale attack on 23 military and infrastructure targets deep within enemy territory. According to МАДЯР🇺🇦, the operation was coordinated by the 'Deep Strike Center' of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF). Among the key achievements in Taganrog, it was reported that an «Iskander» ballistic missile system and two Tu-142 long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft were destroyed on the ground at an airbase.
In addition to the military targets, strategic oil industry assets were hit. At the same time, forces from the USF and «Nemesis» attacked the "Yuzhnaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya" tank farm in Armavir, as well as an oil terminal in Feodosia in occupied Crimea. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this was "another target of the Russian oil industry" located about 500 kilometers from the border.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, whose reports are generally perceived by Ukrainian sources as an attempt to minimize damage, stated that 127 drones were shot down overnight. However, Ukrainian officials, such as Оперативний ЗСУ, emphasized that despite these claims, the damage to the Russian logistics and military apparatus is significant. Ukraine's security forces stated that this is a strategy of "demilitarization" and preventing the enemy's strike capabilities before missiles can be launched.
The operations received broad coverage in Ukrainian channels identified with staunch support for the war effort, including Цензор.НЕТ and Мілітарний, which highlighted the tactical importance of disrupting Russian logistics in Crimea and the southern strip. The sources note that this is one of the largest combined attacks carried out by Ukrainian drone forces since the beginning of the conflict.
