Ukraine's air defense forces report UAV incursions towards Dnipro and Kamianske, residents have been instructed to remain in protected areas.
Wave of aerial attacks in the Dnipro district
Throughout the day, May 20, 2026, the city of Dnipro and its surroundings experienced a wave of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) incursions. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported UAVs detected on their way towards the city of Kamianske. Local information channels, including Дніпро Оперативний, updated that additional vehicles were identified in the Yavornitska area on their way toward Dnipro.
According to reports from Реальный Днепр, the primary source for operational information on what is happening in the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, UAVs were documented crossing over the left bank of the city of Dnipro as well as over the Pidhorodne area. The channel, which is associated with real-time reporting on the fighting in the region, noted that hostile vehicles performed maneuvers over populated areas, which led to calls for residents to remain inside shelters.
The єРадар channel, which specializes in disseminating alerts regarding missile and aircraft attacks, added that attempts were made to track several vehicles in the Slobozhanske and Yavornitska-Igren areas. While at certain hours, "supplementary reconnaissance" (Дорозвідка) was reported following the UAV incursions, the security situation remained tense throughout the day.
The Ukrainian security apparatus continues to monitor the movements of the vehicles in the district's skies, as information from the field indicates ongoing attempts at aerial attacks aimed at strategic targets and population centers in Dnipro and its surroundings.
