During the night of May 14, 2026, the city of Kyiv experienced a massive air attack that included the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a series of locations that were hit throughout the capital, as rescue forces operate on the ground in several scenes simultaneously.

According to reports from KMDA – official channel and Trukha⚡️Ukraine (a channel expressing clear support for Ukraine and criticism of Russia), in the Dniprovskyi district, the roof of a 5-story residential building was hit, which caused a fire. In the Holosiivskyi district, reports indicated drone debris falling on a public transport route, and in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a hit on a non-residential building was identified.

In reports from other channels, including Real Kyiv, it was noted that in the Obolon area, damage was caused to a 3-story parking structure, a business complex, and there was even a report of shrapnel hitting an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building, where a fire broke out. At the same time, in the Solomianskyi district, a vehicle was documented catching fire in a parking lot near a business center.

Local security authorities, including the Kyiv Military Administration (KMVA), called on residents to remain in shelters as the attack continues. The channel Kyiv | Times reported an initial report regarding the collapse of a structure in the Darnytskyi district and people trapped under the rubble, although reports on the ground are under constant updates from rescue forces.

The attack highlights the ongoing security tension, as official Ukrainian sources emphasize Russia's combined use of ballistic weaponry and drones to terrorize Ukraine's urban centers.
