During the morning of May 14, 2026, Ukrainian monitoring channels reported a significant air strike wave involving dozens of cruise missiles that penetrated Ukrainian airspace. According to reports from monitor, at least 4 groups of missiles were identified crossing the Shostka area in the Sumy region toward the Chernihiv region on a south-westerly course.
The channel Київ Головне estimated that there were about 22 cruise missiles in total. At the same time, the Повітряні Сили ЗС України confirmed the movement of the missiles through the Poltava and Cherkasy regions, with some directed directly towards the capital, Kyiv. Reports from multiple channels, including Повітряна Тривога 🚀 Карта Київська, emphasized that the campaign is taking place in several hotspots simultaneously, including the areas of Smila, Chornobay, and other cities in the Cherkasy region. The channel Оперативний ЗСУ updated that air defense forces are prepared to prevent the missile strikes, with attacks also observed from the south and east towards the capital.
The reports reflect a very tense situation, with local media and Telegram channels calling on residents to remain in shelters. As of now, Ukrainian security officials continue to track the path of the missiles remaining in the country's airspace, while channels like Фокус emphasized the severity of the threat to the capital, Kyiv.
