Unprecedented waves of Iranian 'Shahed' UAV attacks are reported across Ukraine, as air defense forces track approximately 250 vehicles heading toward various targets.

Throughout the day, May 13, 2026, Ukraine experienced an exceptionally extensive aerial attack wave. According to the Telegram channel ОПЕРАТИВНИЙ ІНФОРМ – a channel identified with ongoing military operational reports in Ukraine – over 250 "Shahed" UAVs were identified within the country's airspace. The channel notes that "new groups are leaking" of UAVs incessantly.
The attack spreads across wide geographical centers. According to reports from ОПЕРАТИВНИЙ ІНФОРМ, drones are operating over the Chernihiv region, the Chernobyl area, as well as flight paths coming from the south and passing through the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, and Vinnytsia regions.
Simultaneously, the channel Повітряна Тривога 🚀 Карта Київська – focused on air alerts in the Kyiv area – reports "repeated launches" from the Shatalovo airfield and from the north. The channel Київське небо 🌌 emphasized that "launches continue" and that they are monitoring the progress of the vehicles toward the capital.
As of this hour, Ukrainian air defense authorities are dealing with one of the most significant attack events seen recently, as the amount of vehicles in flight was estimated at over 210 vehicles even before the number rose to 250. The public has been instructed to remain in shelters while the stream of reports on new launches continues to update.
