[57717] Extensive UAV attack on Krasnodar Krai in Russia; reports of fires in ports
Extensive UAV attack on Krasnodar Krai in Russia
During the night of May 13, 2026, Russia experienced a widespread wave of attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles in the Krasnodar Territory. According to reports, explosions were heard in the area of the city of Anapa and the Temryuk district, with the primary target being port infrastructure.
UA Stream, a channel reporting with a distinct pro-Ukrainian orientation, noted that this was a "massive attack" that led to the outbreak of significant fires at ports, including in the Taman area. The report added that local residents heard a series of intense explosions during the night.
Simultaneously, Exilenova+ reported that Ukrainian security sources confirmed the success of the attack, focusing on a seaport near the settlement of Volna. This channel, identified with military coverage supporting the Ukrainian war effort, compared this event to past successful strikes against Russian energy infrastructure.
The channel Фокус confirmed the reports of the attack on the port in Taman, while using cautious language regarding the extent of the damage. The channel, which presents a journalistic line critical of Russian policy, emphasized that this is an event with significant strategic importance.
Conversely, ⚔️БРАТЧУК, managed by a prominent Ukrainian military figure, reported ironically on the incident in short posts here and here, using the term "Обломкі атакують!" (Debris is attacking!), a mocking phrase referring to official Russian reports on the interception of UAVs that result in falling shrapnel and secondary attacks.
