[53486] Cultural season in Kyiv: open-air concerts and nostalgic music festivals
Culture and music return to the streets of Kyiv
The 2026 summer event season in Kyiv is heating up with the return of live open-air music performances. According to the Труха⚡️Київ channel, known for its rapid coverage of local news, the 'ACONCERT' project is returning to the city's main terraces - Gulliver and River Mall. From May 15th through the beginning of June, the 'GosOrchestra' will perform symphonic arrangements of global hits by artists such as Sting, Coldplay, Rammstein, and Metallica.
According to the organizers as reported on Труха⚡️Київ, a portion of ticket sales proceeds will be allocated to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces (ZSU), with over 5 million hryvnias raised through this project to date. The events offer a diverse program including pop-classical, rock, and modern music against the backdrop of sunsets over the city.
At the same time, the culture and lifestyle channel ProKyiv reports on another music festival aimed at nostalgia. The 'Покоління' (Generation) festival, dedicated to the pop culture of the 90s and 00s, will take place from May 29th to 31st at the VDNKh complex. The audience will be able to enjoy performances by prominent local artists such as Vitaly Kozlovsky, Lyapis Trubetskoy, and Svyatoslav Vakarchuk as a guest star.
The reports from ProKyiv provide a glimpse into the optimistic atmosphere in the city, while incorporating creative content on the theme of "a soundtrack for Kyiv neighborhoods" as part of the festival promotion. Both channels emphasize the importance of these cultural events in maintaining daily life and community in the Ukrainian capital.
