During the night of May 7, 2026, Ukraine experienced a series of security alerts regarding attacks using ballistic weapons. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued several official notifications warning the public of a "threat of ballistic weapon use," and subsequently updated on the removal of the threat.

The Україна Сьогодні | Новини channel also monitored the situation and reported on the end of the threat from all directions, while clarifying that "repeated threats are possible overnight" due to the activity of air defense systems.
