Alleged violent assault of a veteran by recruitment personnel in Ukraine
On May 6, 2026, numerous reports surfaced on Ukrainian social media indicating a serious incident involving a veteran who previously served in the 3rd Assault Brigade, who was wounded and whose service was terminated due to disability.
According to the Батальйон «Монако» channel, the fighter was assaulted by representatives of the TCC (recruitment offices). The report highlights that in a message published it was claimed that "when they saw the documents - they tried to reach an arrangement with him." A similar description of the event also appeared on the Львівич and БАЙРАКТАР channels (identified with a distinct pro-Ukrainian stance).
Conversely, the ЄвроМайдан channel presents an even more severe picture, according to which the veteran "was brutally beaten by TCC representatives even before they asked him about documents". This channel is known for its coverage focused on Ukrainian current events.
The reports are being shared by several channels, including ГОРИНИЧ 🔞 УКРАЇНА, which emphasizes the claim that the recruitment personnel changed their attitude toward the veteran the moment they realized his military status. As of now, no official response has been published by the recruitment authorities regarding these allegations.
