In an extensive operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the head of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC) of the Zhytomyr region was arrested today (May 6, 2026). According to reports in Times of Ukraine, the senior official was caught "red-handed" while receiving bribe payments from a local businessman. According to ZN.UA, he is charged with receiving illegal benefits and faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to information published in Ukraine NOW and Реальна Війна, the method involved a monthly "subscription fee" paid by the business owner. In return, the entrepreneur provided lists of his employees, and the commander ensured they would receive "immunity" from recruitment team inspections and being detained at checkpoints. The channel ЄвроМайдан noted that the names were added to a special "whitelist" that shielded them from checks on the streets.

Simultaneously, Ukraine NOW reported another case in which the former deputy head of the recruitment office in Vinnytsia, Oksana Yanchak, was convicted for assaulting a citizen who held a legal draft exemption. The court sentenced her to a 5-year suspended prison sentence after she admitted to forcing a citizen to sign documents waiving his exemption while using physical violence.
