A serious incident was reported today, May 4, 2026, in the Odesa region of Ukraine, where two 16-year-old girls were hospitalized after consuming sweets that contained narcotic substances. According to reports, the two ordered the product via a Telegram channel and received it using the "zakladka" method (hiding packages in secret drop-off points).

According to Times of Ukraine, a local news channel, the girls were invited to pick up the delivery after receiving photos and coordinates of the location. Всевидящее ОКО: Україна reported that immediately after experimenting with the product, the health condition of the two deteriorated and they required urgent evacuation by ambulance.

According to an update by the channel Труха⚡️Одесса, the incident took place in the city of Izmail. As of now, the condition of the girls is defined as moderate, and they are under medical supervision in the pediatric ward of the local hospital.
