Tension in the Ukrainian electricity system: Reports of disruptions and malfunctions

The situation in the Ukrainian electricity system is defined as "tense" following a series of Russian attacks that struck national infrastructure. According to a report by the UA Stream channel, Russia has caused power outages in four different regions, leading the company "Ukrenergo" to issue an urgent appeal to citizens to limit the use of heavy electrical appliances during peak hours.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the situation was defined as particularly difficult. Дніпро Оперативний 🇺🇦| Війна reports that "some subscribers have been left without electricity supply" due to the Russian shelling. Although the ministry has not announced official schedules for planned outages at this stage, it urges residents to reduce consumption between 18:00 and 22:00 in order "not to undermine the stability of the system."

In parallel with the disruptions caused by the war, local authorities continue to carry out routine maintenance. The Суспільне Дніпро channel updated that today, May 4, electricity will be temporarily cut off in the cities of Dnipro, Zhovti Vody, and Kamianske for planned maintenance work at specific addresses throughout the cities.
