Starting May 4, 2026, drivers across Ukraine are facing a wave of price hikes at gas stations. According to reports from Реальний Київ | Украина, most gas station chains have updated the prices of A-95 gasoline and diesel by an additional 1 Hryvnia per liter. The channel notes that while fuel has become more expensive, prices for automotive gas (LPG) remained unchanged over the weekend.

Similar reports also came from the channel Times of Ukraine: Новини | Україна, which is characterized by a distinct pro-Ukrainian stance. According to the channel, at some gas station chains, the price increase reached as much as 4 Hryvnias per liter, which led to a call for drivers to "prepare the money."

The channel Лачен пише also confirmed the trend, noting that this is a broad-based increase across the vast majority of gas station chains in the country. Ху Київ + | Україна detailed in its report that while an increase of one Hryvnia is the norm, the "Ukrnafta" (Укрнафта) chain stands out with a sharp increase of 4 Hryvnias per liter for premium gasoline.

On the other hand, the channel UA Stream presented a vague narrative. Throughout the day, the channel posted conflicting updates, initially claiming that prices remained stable, but in a later post confirmed that "during the weekend, there were changes in fuel prices in the direction of an increase."
