During the day of May 2, 2026, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported an intense aerial attack aimed at the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. According to the Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна 🇺🇦 channel, the region was hit by two ballistic missiles, while unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were identified in the area of military operations.

The Київ Головне channel reports constant movement of "Shahed"-type UAVs performing maneuvers between the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions. According to reports, a group of about 11 UAVs was spotted heading toward the Yahotyn and Yahotyn areas from the direction of Poltava and Chernihiv.

In an additional report, Київ Головне noted that "one of the UAVs managed to breach the defense array" and flew toward the city of Brovary. The channel estimated in real-time that the aircraft was expected to reach its destination within about 8 minutes. Official sources and local bloggers emphasized that due to the UAV maneuvers near Brovary, there is a high probability of air raid alerts being triggered in the capital, Kyiv.

The reports reflect a tense situation in the skies over northern Ukraine, with local news channels highlighting the difficulty of tracking the unpredictable movements of the aerial vehicles skipping between different regions.
