The Ukrainian Air Force reports waves of unmanned aerial vehicle attacks targeting several strategic locations across the country, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv.

Throughout the day, May 2, 2026, official sources in Ukraine reported increased activity of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across a wide geographical spread. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attacking groups were observed moving west and south, visiting regions such as Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro.
In ongoing updates published by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine channel, it was reported that UAVs were observed in the Mykolaiv region and that air defense operatives identified aircraft heading towards the city of Mykolaiv. At the same time, the Telegram channel 🔊⚠️єРадар | Повітряна тривога | Ракетна небезпека updated on targeted attacks in additional cities, noting that "2 БПЛА над Миколаєвом" (two UAVs over Mykolaiv) are part of intense hostile activity in the area.
In the eastern and central sectors, reports indicate complex UAV movement. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that UAVs were making their way from the Sumy region towards the Chernihiv region, and from there continued towards the Brovarsky area in the Kyiv region. As for the Dnipro region, alerts were received regarding aircraft making their way to the cities of Kryvyi Rih, Apostolove, and Dnipro.
Beyond the use of UAVs, the єРадар channel reported on the use of guided bombs (KABs) in the Sumy region and the Donetsk area. Both channels, which are identified with the official Ukrainian information line and real-time reporting, emphasize the ongoing war effort and the severity of the aerial threats to the civilian population and military infrastructure in the country.
