Today, April 30, 2026, several road accidents involving heavy trucks were reported in major cities in Ukraine. The incidents have raised public awareness regarding road safety.
In Kyiv, the channel ✙ Київ Оперативний | Kyiv Operative ✙ reported on an accident that occurred this morning on Beresteiskyi Avenue, near the Nyvky neighborhood heading toward the city center. According to the channel, which frequently reports on criminal and traffic incidents in the city, "it is a mechanism of almost 99% of accidents involving trucks and private vehicles". Fortunately, there were no casualties in this accident.
At the same time, in the city of Dnipro, a more serious incident was reported in which a truck crashed into a store. According to ДНІПРО 11 канал 🇺🇦, a local TV channel, the accident occurred on Mazepa Avenue near a 'Varus' supermarket. The channel notes that "this is no longer the first case of an accident at this spot" and that police forces are working at the scene.
A similar report came from the channel Труха⚡️Дніпро | Новини, known for its rapid coverage of breaking news, which confirmed that "a truck crashed into shops on Ivan Mazepa Street". As of now, no casualties have been reported in this incident, but the damage to commercial infrastructure appears significant.
