Massive air attack in Odesa: 18 wounded and widespread damage

Overnight (April 30, 2026), the city of Odesa sustained a massive air attack by Russian forces, which targeted residential areas and civilian facilities. According to reports by ТСН новини / ТСН.ua, a media outlet that presents a clear pro-Ukrainian position, the heaviest damage was recorded in the Primorsky District, where multi-story residential buildings were hit and extensive fires broke out.

Rescue forces updated that the number of casualties has risen to 18 people, two of whom are in serious condition in intensive care, according to a report by Новини.LIVE. Among the casualties is also a 17-year-old boy. Significant damage was caused to educational institutions, with Труха⚡️Одесса reporting that "a kindergarten apartment was left without a roof" as a result of the strike.

At the same time, in the Khadjibey District, warehouses, infrastructure facilities, and garages were hit, as noted in the update from Суспільне Одеса. City authorities stated that over 280 specialists and 68 units of equipment are operating at the impact sites to extinguish fires and clear rubble, according to the report by ⚔️БРАТЧУК.

In separate events outside of Odesa, additional Russian attacks were reported. In the Kherson region, 9 people were reported wounded as a result of artillery shelling, and in the Nikopol region, gas stations and other buildings were attacked, with no casualties reported.
