Over the last 24 hours, Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, was attacked in a series of strikes that led to fires in several locations throughout the city. According to reports from the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) as published on hromadske, fires were identified at two different addresses in the Pecherskyi district, in the vicinity of residential buildings. Simultaneously, another fire was reported in the Solomianskyi district, near an administrative building.
Reports are coming from several local sources, including Труха⚡️Київ, which quoted the mayor confirming the locations and damage, as well as channels such as Реальний Київ and Левый Берег Киев, which highlighted the proximity of the fire to populated areas and public institutions. The channel Лачен пише — which is identified with a distinct pro-Ukrainian line and is critical of Russia — confirmed the reports of the fires in the Pecherskyi district in the context of an attack that took place in the area.
Channels with a political and economic orientation, such as ZN.UA, also updated that as a result of the attack, fires broke out at several central locations. Emergency and rescue forces are working in the field to control the fire and deal with the damage caused by the attack. At this stage, there are no official reports of casualties, but the reports emphasize the tense security situation in the capital.
