According to reports from Soliq xizmati xabarlari, the official channel of the tax authorities in Uzbekistan, a reform easing regulations for businesses in the catering, retail, and service sectors came into effect on June 1, 2026. Under Presidential Decree No. PF-100, small businesses are now eligible for a reduced VAT rate of 6% on total turnover, alongside the abolition of income tax reporting requirements and the setting of the corporate tax rate at 0%.

Open Dialogue with the Private Sector
Following government policy, Soliq xizmati xabarlari stated that an open meeting was held in Andijan led by the management of the regional tax authority. The meeting was intended to prepare the ground for the "VI Open Dialogue of the President with Entrepreneurs," while providing explanations regarding the new benefits and hearing barriers from business owners in order to promote the development of the private sector.

In parallel with the economic activity, there is momentum in the private education sector in the city. According to the channel, the institution promises "quality education, a modern approach, and experienced teachers," with an emphasis on English language instruction by a teacher with an 8.5 score on the IELTS exam.
