The Turkish MHP party has submitted a bill to parliament aimed at assisting retirees who do not own a residential property. According to reports in gdh, the proposal focuses on providing retirees the opportunity to purchase housing through projects by the Turkish Public Housing Administration (TOKİ) under zero-interest conditions.

According to Haber Gündem, the bill was submitted by Member of Parliament İbrahim Ethem Sedef. The program is specifically intended for those living in rented accommodation who do not have a property registered in their name. Under the proposal, retirees will be granted priority in TOKİ projects, while developing long-term payment models without interest.

The initiative comes against the backdrop of the party's efforts to ease the heavy economic burden placed on the retiree population in Turkey.
