The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) issued an official clarification today, June 16, 2026, refuting false reports that have been circulating on social media. According to the reports, false claims were disseminated suggesting that medical staff in Ankara are expected to take "administrative leave" during the period of the upcoming NATO summit to be held in the city.

According to the channel Sondakika Haber Gündem, the Center emphasized that the claims regarding the granting of leave to healthcare workers during the summit period "are not true". This is an initiative by the Turkish government body responsible for monitoring and debunking fake news, which works to maintain the stability of public services in centers of international events.

The report was also confirmed by the channel Gündem Haber, which emphasized in its publications that there is no basis for the directive in question. These channels, which are often used as a conduit for conveying official messages from Turkish state institutions, clarify that the medical system in Ankara will continue to operate as usual without special administrative changes due to the security summit.
