Significant Rise in Water Levels in Turkey Following Heavy Rains

The state of water management in Turkey has marked a significant positive turn following a substantial precipitation season. According to a report by the Sputnik Türkiye channel, which is affiliated with the Russian state narrative, the 'Pusat-Özen' reservoir in the Sivas province has reached 100% full capacity for the first time in 18 years, leading to the initiation of water discharge from the dams.

Additional data indicates a dramatic recovery in the reservoirs of the Sivas province: the '4th of September' reservoir, which stood at only 5% capacity last year, reached 67% this year. On average, all water reservoirs in the Sivas region now boast a filling rate of 96%, a figure indicating significant saturation in regional water sources.

Conversely, the other side of the excess precipitation is expressed in engineering and safety challenges. The news channel Sondakika Haber Gündem, which reports on general current events, notes that due to the heavy rains, in areas adjacent to one of Turkey's large reservoirs, the 'Karakaya' dam, residents are returning to situations of flooding in nearby settlements after some of them again found themselves underwater.
