Evacuation of 'Sumud Fleet' activists and allegations of the use of violence

Following their release by Israel, participants of the 'Global Sumud Fleet' have begun returning to their home countries. According to a report by the Sondakika Haber Gündem channel, all activists have been released from Israeli custody, with a group of Italian citizens already arriving back in their country overnight.

Simultaneously, Sputnik Türkiye reported that some activists were evacuated to hospitals upon their return. According to the report, which relies on the activists' descriptions, they are suffering from "fractures and cracks in their ribs" as well as wounds caused by the use of "tasers" during their removal from Israel. According to Sputnik Türkiye, these are activists who experienced severe violence during the arrest.

Logistically, Sputnik Türkiye notes that the return to their home countries is being carried out via three Turkish Airlines flights. Out of 29 Italian activists, two returned yesterday morning, and 16 others arrived in the evening.

It is worth noting that the Sputnik channel, which is aligned with Russian positions, focuses its reports on criticism of the conduct of Israeli security forces toward the international activists, while highlighting their injuries and claims of disproportionate violence.
