Turkey Expands Its Strategic Capabilities: Unveiling of the 'YILDIRIMHAN' Missile

During the SAHA 2026 international defense exhibition, Turkey announced the development of a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) named 'YILDIRIMHAN'. According to reports from several Turkish defense channels, including TÜRK SAVUNMA and Son Dakika Haberler Gündem, the missile is capable of reaching a range of over 6,000 kilometers and a terminal velocity ranging from Mach 9 to Mach 25. Officials and commentators on Turkish Telegram channels describe this as a significant leap in the country's deterrence capabilities.

In addition to the strategic missile, a variety of other developments were presented, highlighting the Turkish emphasis on autonomous and aerial warfare. TÜRK SAVUNMA SANAYİ showcased 'Baykar' platforms, including the 'K2' suicide drone with a range of 2,000 km and the 'Sivrisinek' system. Simultaneously, the company STM unveiled the 'Kuzgun' suicide drone with a range of 1,000 km, which gained widespread attention on channels like Haber Gündem.
