[51079] Technological Revolution in the Turkish Super League: Transition to Using Chipped Balls
Revolution in Judgment Technology in the Turkish League
Turkish football is facing a significant technological upgrade, as league clubs have decided to adopt the use of "chipped balls" during matches. The initiative, which began on the part of the Beşiktaş club, has gained the support of the Turkish Clubs Association.
According to reports in TGRT HABER, this is a real revolution that will help resolve complex judgmental issues. The Clubs Association is expected to submit an official request to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the implementation of the technology, as reported in 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗵ç𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗵𝘂 and FENERBAHÇE AŞKI.
The new technology will provide accurate solutions for several key points of contention on the pitch:
- Precise identification of the moment the ball leaves the player's foot for the purpose of determining offside.
- Definitive determination of whether the ball has fully crossed the goal line.
- Identification of illegal handballs that occur during the game.
Serdal Adalı from Beşiktaş was the central figure who pushed the issue in an official letter to the Clubs Association, as published in BEŞİKTAŞ SEVDALILARI. The move signals a broad consensus among the leading clubs in Turkey to improve the quality of officiating through advanced digital tools.
