According to a report by Sputnik Türkiye, which is associated with a Russian editorial line, heavy snow was documented in the provinces of Denizli, Burdur, Kütahya, and Afyon, scenes described by the channel as "snow in the month of May."

At the same time, local media outlets are reporting the spread of the cold system. TGRT HABER, a conservative-right-leaning channel close to the mainstream in Turkey, reported that the snow reached the gates of Istanbul, which is raising concerns among residents in the populated areas.

The Turkish Meteorological Service issued official warnings to the residents of the various provinces. As reported in TGRT HABER, the authorities warn that "heavy snow and rain are about to arrive" to additional areas, and call on the public to prepare accordingly for the extreme weather conditions characterizing the last few days.
