At the same time, BBC Russia - an outlet presenting a critical stance toward the Kremlin - reported on an extensive drone attack attributed to Ukraine against industrial facilities deep within Russia, including a chemical plant in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai. Simultaneously, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense systems intercepted 138 Ukrainian drones that entered Russian airspace during the night.

In the Ukrainian sector, local Telegram channels such as Odessa as it is reported a nightly wave of "Geran" (Shahed) drone attacks in the south of the country. As a result of the attacks in the Odessa region, residential buildings and port infrastructure were hit, and a number of casualties were reported. The CIT channel, which documents damage to civilian infrastructure, noted that across Ukraine and Russia, at least 11 dead and 130 wounded were recorded among the civilian population over the past day.

Against the backdrop of the fighting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referred to Russia's attempts "to eliminate the Ukrainian leadership," a claim that received conflicting interpretations on various Telegram channels: while Ukrainian opposition channels emphasize the danger to his life, pro-Kremlin channels such as Zone AP reacted dismissively to these reports.
