According to reports by CIT volunteers, an organization that documents damage to civilian infrastructure, at least 14 deaths and 77 injuries among civilians were recorded during the past weekend (May 8–10). Data indicates multiple attacks using drones and shells in a series of districts, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia, alongside areas under Russian control in Donetsk and Kherson.

Incidents in Russia and claims of ceasefire violations

In the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a number of civilian casualties as a result of Ukrainian shelling, noting that the attacks were carried out during the declared ceasefire. Conversely, pro-government Russian Telegram channels, including Операция Z and Украина.ру, claim that Russian forces continue to inflict heavy losses on Ukrainian forces and report the repulsion of dozens of attacks in the Donbas and Kursk regions.

Malfunctions in Russian weaponry: Bombs falling on Russian territory

A recurring issue raised in reports by ASTRA and SVTV NEWS (which focus on criticism of government policy) is the dropping of Russian aerial bombs (FAB) on Russian territory and occupied territories. According to ASTRA data, since the beginning of 2026, at least 24 cases of bombs "unintentionally released" from Russian fighter jets have been documented, with one bomb falling in the courtyard of a house in the settlement of Luhansk in Donetsk. The source notes that these are bombs upgraded with guidance kits (UMPK) that demonstrate recurring technical failures.
