A serious traffic accident in the city of Orel: A teenager hit a pedestrian

A serious incident occurred today in the city of Orel, when a 17-year-old boy, riding a dirt bike (pit bike) without a driver's license, hit a 70-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing. According to reports, the woman was evacuated to the hospital to receive medical treatment following the injuries she sustained in the accident.

Reports of the incident appeared on the Russian Telegram channels Душная община and ПОДСЛУШАНО БРЯНСК. According to Душная община, the young driver was not harmed in the incident, nor was the passenger who was with him on the vehicle.

The channel ПОДСЛУШАНО БРЯНСК emphasized that these were "dirty ones" (a derogatory nickname for youths used by the channel) who were riding without legal permission. Both channels are identified with a distinct pro-Russian line and tend to present sharp criticism of Ukraine and the West, but in this case, they are focusing on a local criminal report regarding law enforcement and traffic accidents.

Law enforcement authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the legal steps that will be taken against the teenager and his parents, however, the case is sparking a renewed local debate regarding the use of two-wheeled vehicles by minors without a license within urban areas.
