The daycare abuse affair in Kiryat Gat
A grave affair has been exposed in Kiryat Gat: A children's daycare owner is suspected of fabricating a break-in at the nursery premises in order to conceal security camera footage, this after parents demanded to view the materials following suspicions of abuse. This was reported this morning (Sunday) by Israel News IL and War Room.
According to the report on Israel News IL, the affair began after parents were exposed to audio recordings in which the nursery teachers and the assistant were heard expressing themselves crudely toward the children. In one of the recordings, the assistant was heard saying about one of the girls: "She already received hits on the hands," while in another recording, the nursery teacher was heard calling a child a "bitch" and demanding from the assistant "throw him into the crib."
When the parents approached the daycare owner with a demand to see the video documentation, she claimed that "during the night the nursery was broken into and the recording device was stolen." The parents, who suspected her version, filed a police complaint. Following this, the police opened an investigation, located evidence, and interrogated the nursery owner under caution on suspicion of abuse and obstruction of justice. The suspect was sent to house arrest.
