Thousands of Ger Hasidim at a prayer rally outside Prison 10
Today, June 17, 2026, a mass rally of the Ger Hasidut took place outside Prison 10 in protest of the arrest of a yeshiva student belonging to the Hasidut, who was defined as a deserter from military service. As reported on Zirat HaHadashot, thousands of Hasidim gathered at the location in the afternoon hours to hold a prayer rally.
Amit Segal and Yinon Magal, journalists with a line often identified with the right and support for Netanyahu, reported on the mass gathering in front of the prison. Journalist Daniel Groveiss noted that "great pushing and crowding" was recorded at the scene during the event (Zirat HaHadashot).
The peak of the event was recorded with the arrival of the Ger Rebbe at the rally site. On Zirat HaHadashot it was reported that the Rebbe went up to the main stage together with a crowd of thousands of Hasidim who came to demonstrate their support for the detainee and against the arrests among the Haredi sector.
As of the evening hours, the rally is accompanied by a wide presence of members of the Hasidut, with reports from Hershkowitz & Groveiss - The Haredi Angle describing the stream of participants that began arriving at the prison complex throughout the day.
