According to reports from tanker tracking groups, Iran has resumed its oil export activity after a two-month hiatus. According to the TankerTrackers website, two supertankers carrying a cargo of about 3.8 million barrels of crude oil left Iran last Monday, June 17, 2026, and crossed the maritime blockade zone.

Epoch Magazine notes that the departure of the tankers comes against the backdrop of a continuous decline in global oil prices, which have reached their lowest level since last March.
