According to reports from Amit Segal and other media outlets such as News Channel 8200, US President Donald Trump has declared that an agreement between the United States and Iran is set to be signed in the coming hours. Trump emphasized that he intends to ask Iran to refrain from launching missiles at Israel so as not to harm the diplomatic process.

Simultaneously, journalist Barak Ravid was quoted in Ongoing Security as confirming that the contacts for the agreement intended to end the war are continuing as scheduled for Sunday, despite the growing tension following the Israeli strike in Beirut and the Iranian threat to respond. Conversely, an advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran threatened a response to the Israeli strike in the southern suburbs of Beirut, stating that his country would teach the attackers a "lesson they will regret" (Source).

For its part, the Iran News channel — which presents a critical line toward Israel and Trump's policy — claimed that the American president is unhappy with the Israeli strikes in Lebanon.
