In the last day, a media storm has erupted surrounding reports of the release of frozen Iranian assets worth billions of dollars through the United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates rushed to deny the reports categorically, stating in a Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement that "we have not transferred billions to Iran — there are no frozen Iranian assets that have been transferred or released through the country," adding that these claims are "false and baseless" as reported in 301 The Arab World.

The Emirati denial, which was also published on Convergence of Arenas and Iran News, comes in response to reports in international media, including Reuters, which claimed that the Emirates agreed to release about $10 billion, of which about $3 billion has already been transferred to Tehran, as noted on the Israel News Without Censorship channel.

Alongside these reports, Iranian officials have presented a different narrative. Mohsen Rezaee, an advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, claimed that "Trump has agreed to the release of $24 billion from the frozen Iranian assets, but is not declaring it openly and explicitly," according to Israel News Without Censorship, a channel that presents a position supporting former President Trump.

As of now, there is great uncertainty surrounding the affair, as the United Arab Emirates insists on its official version that this is false information. The reports come against the backdrop of growing regional tensions and attempts by various international actors to influence economic policy toward Tehran.
