A shocking incident occurred at a kindergarten in Tel Aviv, when three four-year-old toddlers managed to leave the kindergarten premises unsupervised and wander outside for about 45 minutes. The case was revealed following the absence of the head teacher, which led to a chain of safety and functional failures among the team of assistants present at the site.

According to a report in Hadran Milhama 🎗️, the girls climbed on a chair, opened the kindergarten gate, and left it without anyone on the staff noticing in real-time. When their absence was discovered, the handling of the incident was inadequate: according to Hadran Milhama, one of the assistants went out to search while the other "fainted from the pressure," and this was done without the parents being updated on the details of the failure in real-time.

Zirat HaHadashot added that the incident lasted about 45 minutes, a time during which the girls remained exposed to external dangers. Parents of children in the kindergarten expressed great outrage at the staff's conduct. A father of a child at the kindergarten was quoted in Hadran Milhama as saying: "No one thought to call the parents of these girls and tell them what actually happened."

The affair raises difficult questions regarding the shortage of manpower in the early childhood education system and the safety procedures implemented in kindergartens. As of this hour, the supervisory authorities have not yet provided an official response regarding the steps that will be taken against those responsible for the failure.
