Tightening of Home Front Command Guidelines in the North

In light of the security escalation in the northern sector, the Home Front Command has updated the defensive policy for northern settlements. The new guidelines, which went into effect on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 21:00, will remain in effect until Monday, June 1, 2026, at 20:00.

According to reports in Hot News and Israel News | No Censorship, the guidelines have been tightened in the following areas:

• Confrontation line and settlements: Meron, Bar Yochai, Or HaGanuz, Safsufa, Yesud HaMa'ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann, and Sde Eliezer have been moved to the "Limited Activity" level. In these areas, no educational activity will take place, and workplaces will only operate in buildings with a standard protected space. Gatherings are limited to 50 people in open areas and 200 people in buildings, and beaches are closed to the public.


• Upper Galilee, Northern Golan, Katzrin, and Kidmat Zvi: These have been moved to the "Partial Activity" level. In these places, educational activity can take place and workplaces are open, provided that a standard protected space can be reached within the defensive timeframe. Gathering and beach restrictions remain identical to those of the confrontation line area.

Nitzan Shapira on Telegram noted that the move comes "in light of the escalation in the North." The Home Front Command emphasized that situational assessments are ongoing and that the public should keep updated on official guidelines through the Command's website and application.
