The purpose of the update is to improve access to vital information for the public in real time and to make instructions clearer during emergencies.

According to Nitzan Shapira on Telegram — a channel that presents a line emphasizing pro-Israel and security positions — the update includes a new visual alert system. According to Nitzan Shapira, every alert will now be displayed using a combination of "color, icon, and a designated sound" to enable immediate identification of the type of event and the required action:

• Yellow: Preparation required for a possible threat.


• Red: Taking protective action.


• Green: End of the event and the danger has passed.

In addition, reports indicate an improvement in the user interface, which includes a central screen that displays all instructions in chronological order, alongside an upgrade to the lock screen and the addition of a more precise distinction between alerts in the user's current location and pre-defined areas of interest.
