Concern in the Shin Bet: Special preparations to prevent fraud and manipulation in the upcoming elections
The security establishment is expressing genuine concern ahead of the upcoming election cycle. According to a report by Shahar Glick on Political Updates, Shin Bet officials are particularly concerned about "fraud and election manipulation that could be carried out by internal actors within the country."
According to the officials, in closed-door discussions, the concern is defined as a "real concern." In light of this, the agency is placing the issue at the top of its security priorities for the coming period.
Political Updates notes that the Shin Bet views this issue as a "major flagship project," with heavy resources and efforts currently being directed toward operational enforcement and prevention measures to ensure the integrity of the elections.
A similar report also appeared on the News Arena channel, which also cited Glick's remarks regarding the high state of alert among security officials regarding internal interference in the democratic process.
