Regional tensions with Iran are at a peak: high alert and reports of infiltrations
Regional tensions with Iran are intensifying, as a series of security incidents involving Iran have been reported over the last 24 hours. According to ynet news, the United Arab Emirates reported the interception of two UAVs launched from Iranian territory, shortly after a similar announcement from Kuwait. Meanwhile, Iranian officials issued a sharp warning that "the period of restraint has ended, time is running out".
In parallel, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence claims that "we have thwarted terror attacks and assassinations by the Mossad in Tehran", according to a report in News from the Field on Telegram (a channel that presents a line identified with critical positions toward Iran and Hamas). According to the announcement, Iranian security forces arrested two cells identified with the Israeli Mossad, totaling four operatives who allegedly planned to carry out assassinations and terror attacks against sensitive centers in the capital.
In Israel, the Chief of Staff addressed the security situation in a briefing at the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. As reported by Michael Shemesh, the Chief of Staff emphasized that Israel is "at very high alert for a return to fighting in Iran in order to deepen the damage over time", and even noted that Israel "has raided Tehran."
The Israeli defense establishment is preparing for the continuation of the campaign, while reports from Iran attempt to present a picture of internal thwarting against Mossad activity, in parallel with the diplomatic and military crisis developing with Iran's neighbors in the Gulf.
