Hachadashot Hachamot provided further details on the sequence of events, noting that firefighting teams from the Afula area joined the 'Amakim' rescue unit and medical teams before the decision was made for a helicopter rescue. The shift commander, Rav Reshef Golan Tamam, described the operation as a "complex rescue in difficult terrain, with very limited access to the injured party," and added that the joint operation enabled a quick and safe evacuation to the medical treatment point.
