On the political level, Yisrael Beiteinu chairman, MK Avigdor Liberman, clarified his firm stance this morning (May 6, 2026) regarding the enlistment issue. Not an exemption for one yeshiva student, not even for a quarter of a yeshiva student. One hundred percent enlistment." The remarks were made at a press conference against the backdrop of the ongoing public debate on the matter.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the board of Israel Railways, Adv. Moshe Shimoni, presented data in the Ynet studio on the railway's activity since October 7. According to him, as published in 🔅 Political Arena ‼️ and News Arena, the railway continued to operate as a "national lifeline" even under missile and drone threats, under the guidance of Minister Miri Regev.

Shimoni noted that the public expressed trust in the service through "72 million trips per year." In addition, the chairman of the board declared that "eliminating the periphery between Kiryat Shmona and Tel Aviv is a practical goal", as part of the efforts to connect parts of the country even in times of emergency.
